TRIP TO NEW YORK

God has certainly blessed us in 2006 and what better way to end the year then to spend a week in New York City!!! Thanks to all the folks and beautiful program of N.H.S.A. (National Head Start Association) Elisa and I were awarded the opportunity to attend the Nationl Parents Conference In New York City (all expenses paid). Along with attending various parent trainings, we were able to tour the city and see all the famous sites. New York truly is breath-taking. Can you believe us country folk actually came out on TV on the Today Show? We stood in line for over two hours for two seconds of fame. It was worth it!!! The whole experience was awesome and a great way to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary as well.

KENDRA'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

KENDRA JUST COULD NOT CONTAIN HER GIGGLING WHILE HER PROGRAM WAS IN PROGRESS. SHE LOVED EVERY MINUTE. SHE SAID THAT NEXT TIME SHE WANTS TO BE THE ONE TO SING A SONG BY HERSELF. IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH YOUR LITTLE ONES ACCOMPLISHMENTS. EVEN IF THEY ARE JUST LITTLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS. SHE WAS WONDERFUL. BUCK HAD TEARS IN HIS EYES AS HE WATCHED WITH PRIDE AND A LITTLE BIT OF SADNESS. HE SAYS "I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE MY BABY IS GROWING UP"

HALLOWEEN 2006

HERE WE ARE ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT. WE VISITED MARIA AND WATCHED HER ENJOY HER TREATS WHILE OUR VISIT AT HER BHE HOME. KENDRA HAD A REALLY FUN EVENING AND BUCK & I WONDERED WHAT TO DO WITH THE LOADS OF CANDY WHICH WILL ONLY TAKE UP SPACE ALTEAST UNTIL CHRISTMAS.


THIS YEAR KENDRA WAS A PUMKIN SPICE GIRL AND LITTLE MIA WAS AS CUTE AS A BUNNY AS A LITTLE PUMKIN HERSELF. BUCK CHANGED HIS LOOK A LITTLE THIS YEAR. HE HAS ONE LESS HAIR TO SHOW FOR AND ME WELL LETS JUST SAY I WAS A HAVING A BAD HAIR DAY. IT'S HALLOWEEN EVERYDAY FOR ME. HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT HALLOWEEN. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR. WE'LL BE SEEING SOME NEW PICTURES OF OUR FUTURE MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY.

ANNIVERSARY SUPRISE

After ten years we are still getting suprises. Two days before our anniversary, we found out that next year there will be one more pumpkin added to the harvest scene at the Garcia home. Yes we are going to have another child. Please Lord let this one be a boy!!! The big date is estimated at June 10,2007. God is good.

HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY

I am very proud and pleased to say that we just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. Can you believe Elisa has put up with me for that long??? I am glad she has. I would be lost with out her and my beautiful children which by the way just had to accompany us on our anniversary dinner. Happy anniversary Elisa, I love you more and more each day. Thank you for a woderful family.

Destiny finally a has little sister. She couldn't stay away from her for too long. She wanted to stay with Sonya at the hospital to fulfill her sister duties.

MIA LEARNED HOW TO CLIMB & JUMP ON THE FURNITURE. SOMETIMES I WONDER IF SHE WILL BECOME A MOUNTAIN CLIMBER. SCARY THOUGHT! THEY ARE GROWING UP!!!

Hello All!!! Yes we are still here. Here is a pic of Kendra at here 1st soccer game. It is so much fun to watch her grow up. Then We have little Miss Mia who just cares about the cool toys right now. She is totally into puppies.

Well Kendra has wrapped up her first baseball season. It was so neat to watch her progress as the season went on. She had a great time and can't wait until next year she says. I have to admit that I had a great time playing coach as well. GO ROCKIES!!!

SUMMER TIME IS HERE!!!

WELL SUMMER TIME HAS FINALLY COME AND IT HAS BEEN JUST ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SO FAR. THE ONLY THING THAT IS MORE BEAUTIFUL IS MY PRECIOUS GIRLS. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE. WE MISS YOUALL SO MUCH.

Almost Summer Time

KENDRA & MIA LOVE GOING ON WALKS, GETTING WET W/ SPRINKLER, DRAWING WITH CHALK ON THE SIDEWALK AND SIMPLY PLAYING OUT IN THE SUN. KENDRA STARTS T-BALL NEXT WEEK AND MIA WELL, SHE ALWAYS FINDS SOMETHING TO DO WHEN SISTER IS NOT AROUND.

SPRING IS HERE

Can you believe this is what Spring time looks like here in Worland. We thought we were in the clear from snow. But I guess mother nature has other plans. The extra moisture is good everyone's yard though. Especially for early spring planting.

Easter Sunday 2006

Easter weekend came and went in a flash. It all began on Saturday the day of Sami's Quincenera. It was so much fun. Kendra usually enjoys spending time with her little cousins or just chatting with anyone she encounters. We sure had a busy weekend though.

MISTAKEN IDENTITY 2

IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE WAY TO A MAN'S HEART IS THROUGH HIS STOMACH; WELL BUCK KINDA TOOK THE WRONG TURN FROM THE CHINESE RESTAURANT FRONT DOOR. WE COULDN'T FIND HIM BUT SOME GOOD CITIZEN CAUGHT HIM IN THE ACT. SEE THE SURPRISE IN HIS FACE!!

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

WELL I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT MY BABY IS ALREADY ONE YEAR OLD. HER BIRTHDAY WAS SATURDAY 25th AND WE HAD HER PARTY ON SUNDAY 26th. IT WASN'T ANYTHING SPECTACULAR, BUT WE HAD A LOT OF FUN AND LOTS OF BBQ!!! THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME TO CELEBRATE AND TO ALL OF YOU WHO LIVE FAR AWAY, WE WISH YOU WERE HERE. LOVE YOU ALL.

MIA'S CAKE

BEFORE AND AFTER

HERE IS MIA'S CAKE WHICH I AM VERY PROUD TO SAY I MADE. IT TOOK ME 2 DAYS TO COMPLETE. NO I'M NOT THAT SLOW I JUST TOOK MY TIME. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I USE FONDANT - soft creamy preparations of sugar, water, and flavoring that is used as a basis for candies or icings. YUMMY!!

MIA'S DEDICATION

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

We dedicated Mia on the 19th of March. There's no other way to assure God's protection over our children than to dedicate their lives to the Lord. Mia's dress came all the way from Houston, Texas. Papi and mami bought the dress that Kendra thought was for Mia's wedding. Kids surely say the darnest things. Mia will be 1 year tomorrow.

BUCK'S TATTOO

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 31 YEARS TO GET A TATTOO, BUT I FINALLY GOT THE GUTS TO GET ONE. IT DIDN'T HURT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO AND ELISA DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO HOLD ME DOWN. I'M SUCH A BIG BOY. THIS PATICULAR TATTOO OBVIOUSLY MEANS A LOT TO ME.

Congratulations to the proud parents of Ashely Kristelle Orta. Robert and Brenda you have a beautiful baby. Your life will forever be changed, but thank God because it will be wonderful. Ashely came into this world on 3/7/06 at 11:41 am. She was a whopping 5 lbs. 13 oz. and 19 inches long.

WALLY WORLD!!!!

Okay, it takes some longer than others to figure things out and obviously I fall under the "some" category. I have been getting reports that you can't leave comments on this blog. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well it has come and gone and hear we sit in what I expect to be a wonderful new year 2006!!! I pray that all of you had a blessed and happy Holiday Season. I am anticipating a better and more blessed year in 2006. Already we have many things to be thankful for. God provided a 3 bedroom house for us to move into and many friends that helped us move in. I would really like to thank Terri, Chris, Matt, and Jake for helping us move our things from the apartment to the new house. You all are such a blessing. And of course, we definitely couldn't have done any of that with out the trucks and trailers that were provided to us. Thank you Rondo, Mike and Celiela for your help as well. You too, have been a blessing to us. Pastor Tom and Dianne blessed us with painting supplies (enough to do every room in the house). WOW, it's only January and already God has blessed us more then we could have asked for. Thank you so much everybody and I pray God blesses you more then you can imagine.
